Episcopal Church of the Redeemer: Communications

In 2017, I was thrilled to assist The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Cincinnati, OH with a Communications Director transition, equipping their leadership to welcome a new addition to their team.

Project Background:

With approximately 1,000 attendees every weekend, The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer is a communal cornerstone of its diverse Cincinnati neighborhood. When the time came to search for a full-time Communications Director to keep up with the church’s growing need to connect with its surrounding community, I was grateful to put my Communications experience to helpful use.

I worked with Father Phil DeVaul to assess Redeemer’s needs, develop a profile for the new position, and create a Communications Manual to get the new hire off on the right foot.

About Redeemer Cincy

Redeemer is thriving under new leadership and poised for growth. Its involved community is made up of people of every age group, though it is lacking in cultural diversity. Many people at Redeemer come from Roman Catholic or other mainline religious backgrounds, with a strong desire for fellowship and opportunities to get involved through giving, volunteering, and leading.

Redeemer would most benefit from a Communications leader with a heart for relational community and the gift of Connecting people (to one another and to their place), above the required position responsibilities. Outside of Redeemer are several neighborhoods and communities that Redeemer would like to reach through building trusted relationships, in order for those people to feel included, loved, affirmed, supported, and connected to Jesus and others.
